Toybox Values

Roblox trading scams and how to avoid them

The one rule that matters most: no trade ever needs your password, code or cookie. And never give first outside the official trade window. Those two habits stop most common scams.

Seven common scams

Asking for your password, code or cookie

No trade ever needs your login, your two-step verification code or your browser cookie. Handing any of them over gives away the whole account.

"You go first and I'll send right after"

A trade where one side gives first, outside the game's trade window, can't be undone. In games with a built-in trade window, trade only inside it.

Fake middlemen

The scammer suggests a "trusted" middleman who turns out to be the same person or a friend. Watch for look-alike names that differ by one letter.

Free Robux and item links

Sites and games that promise free Robux steal logins or install malware. Roblox does not give away free Robux.

Value tricks

Selling a common item as rare, or showing an old value list. Check recent values from more than one source right before you trade.

Real-money deals and account sales

Buying or selling items or accounts for real money breaks the Roblox Terms of Use, and many buyers pay and get nothing. The account can also be banned.

Moving you to Discord or another site

"We can't trade here, let's use Discord" is a sign someone wants to get around Roblox's safeguards.

Questions

Can I get my items back after a scam?

Usually not. Still report the account with Roblox's report feature, change your password and turn on two-step verification.

Does Toybox Values hold or run trades?

No. We never hold or trade items or Robux. Anyone offering a trade in our name is an impersonator.
