Questions
How do I raise the day multiplier?
It starts at 1x. Each bed you build adds 1 (Old Bed, Regular Bed, Good Bed, Giant Bed) and the wiki caps the total at 9x, which fits 4 beds plus the 4 missing children at 1 each. The wiki does not state the per-child step outright, so treat that part as our reading.
Does the multiplier change the early events?
The wiki notes that for days 1 to 10 the fixed events ignore the multiplier. For example the Pelt Trader always arrives on the second real day.
Is this the real time of a normal run?
It is the minimum if you survive every night without dying or waiting in the lobby: nights multiplied by one full cycle. The wiki gives the same two anchors, 7 h 25 min 30 s at 1x and 49 min 30 s at 9x.
