Questions
How long does a Machine take in Dandy's World?
Without Skill Checks it takes ceil(45 / Extraction Speed) seconds. That is 60 s at 1 star (0.75), 45 s at 3 stars (1) and 30 s at 5 stars (1.5).
How do Skill Checks change the time?
A Skill Check rolls every second with a 25% chance, after a short lull, so one appears about every 7 s. The calculator assumes each one hits the gold zone: time = 45 / (Extraction Speed + Skill Check value / 7). With 3 star Extraction and 3 star Skill Checks that is 35 s instead of 45 s.
What about Duo Machines?
The wiki adds the Extraction Speeds of both players. 0.75 and 0.85 make 1.60, which is 28.125 s. It lists no Duo formula with Skill Checks, so the calculator shows Duo times without them.
Why does the wiki show 37.5 s but the calculator 38 s?
The wiki states the rule as ceil(45 / BaseRate), but some of its examples are not rounded (45 / 1.20 = 37.5). The calculator shows both: the rounded-up figure and the exact one. Which one the game uses has not been checked in game.
Which Trinkets and abilities are included?
None. The wiki says several Trinkets change Machine time and are not accounted for yet, and abilities such as Boxten's Wind-Up change the Extraction Speed. Use the Custom option with your own star counts for a rough guide.
