Questions
How do mutations stack?
Each mutation adds its multiplier minus 1 to a starting 1: max(1, 1 + sum of (m - 1)). Shocked (x100) and Frozen (x10) make 1 + 99 + 9 = 109. The variant is then multiplied on top, so Gold (x20) with both makes 20 x 109 = 2180.
Which mutation has the highest multiplier?
In the wiki list it is Goldsparkle at x500. The wiki warns that a real maximum cannot be found by adding every multiplier, because fusions remove ingredients, so we do not state a maximum combination.
Do all mutations raise the price?
4 of the 195 listed mutations have a multiplier of x1, such as the four Pollinated levels. They add 0 to the sum, so they do not change the sell value.
What are fusions?
When a fruit has all the mutations a recipe asks for, the game creates the fused mutation automatically. Which ingredients disappear depends on the recipe (the wiki says so for Ceramic), so the final list on your fruit can differ from what you applied. The calculator adds exactly the mutations you tick and does not apply fusions.
