Roblox Creator Rewards: what it pays and how
What it replaced
Roblox's docs call the old program Engagement-Based Payouts (the Creator Dashboard tab was named Engagement Payouts, with a Premium Playtime Score). It paid on the share of time Premium members spent in a game, and the docs mark it deprecated as of 2025-07-24. The 10-K confirms the Creator Rewards Program launched in July 2025 and replaced it. The Creator Rewards page also says the Creator Affiliate program was discontinued.
What counts
| Reward | Rate | Condition (Roblox docs) |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Engagement | 5 Robux per day | Your experience is one of the first 3 an Active Spender launches that day, and they spend 10+ minutes in it. Per qualifying experience, per day. |
| Audience Expansion | 35% of the first $100 | A new or reactivated user (inactive 60 days) spends on Qualifying Purchases in their first 60 days. They must reach your experience through a Share Link, its direct link or a search of its name, as their first session of the day, and play 10+ minutes. You need an average of 100+ DAU over 60 days. |
An Active Spender is a user who made Qualifying Purchases of at least $10 in the past 60 days (Robux, Roblox Premium or UGC subscriptions) and was not new or reactivated in that window. Audience Expansion pays once per user. Roblox says it may change this framework.
How it is paid and when
- Rewards are credited as Earned Robux with a 60-day holding period. Daily Engagement started on 2025-07-24.
- Estimates show in the Creator Dashboard under Monetization, Creator Rewards (earned, rewarded active spenders, signups, reactivations).
- Turning the Robux into cash, and the tax side, is governed by the DevEx terms. See the DevEx requirements guide.
- Prohibited: bots, artificial traffic, encouraging alt accounts, fraudulent transactions. Penalties include forfeited rewards, removal from the program or account termination.
What it is worth in dollars
| Case | Earned Robux | At $0.0038 (standard) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Daily Engagement reward | 5 | $0.019 |
| 1,000 Daily Engagement rewards | 5,000 | $19 |
| 6,000 rewards = the 30,000 DevEx minimum | 30,000 | $114 |
These are arithmetic on the 5 Robux rate and the standard DevEx rate, not a forecast. The Audience Expansion share is 35% of $100, which is $35 at most per user in revenue-share terms; the docs do not say how many Robux that converts to, so no Robux figure is given. Roblox's docs state no cap on either reward.

Questions
Is Premium Payouts still running?
No. Roblox's docs say Engagement-Based Payouts, which paid on how long Premium members played, was deprecated on 2025-07-24 and replaced by Creator Rewards. The 10-K says the same.
Do I have to sign up?
Daily Engagement needs no enrollment. Audience Expansion requires an ID-verified account in good standing and a valid DevEx account, and the experience must average 100 or more daily active users over 60 days. The Creator Dashboard shows your eligibility.
Is the reward paid at the higher DevEx rate?
The DevEx page lists the $0.0054 qualifying rate only for developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers bought by US players verified 18+. Creator Rewards is listed separately as a source of Earned Robux, so this page uses the $0.0038 standard rate for it. Check the DevEx page for the current rule.
